I don't have experience with the P7000 but I've had two sets of the P700Zs and loved them. They are an older tire that are now out of production but you can get them for a great price. They are nice and sticky and last as well. A good combo if you ask me.
Pirelli P7000, love them but weaer out fast. Super in the rain. I even Auto-X'ed with them a coupla times and was competitive.
i love my pirelli p6000 sport veloce... 185/60/r14.... they were less than $50 apiece on http://www.tirerack.com back this summer when i bought them
