Tires YOKOHAMA or Cooper
I got Advan Fleva 87V Yokohama at 5,161 per tire with 5 years warranty.
i have the cooper rugged trek and they’re awesome! they more aggressive but still quiet on the road.
I have been very happy with my Cooper Road and Trails. Good wet and dry weather traction so far and quiet, or at least not noticeable to me.
They may not be the absolute best winter tire, but they're a solid options and much better than all seasons.
I just put on the Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT last week on my Disco 5. I have done about 150miles on them, mixed surface streets and highway speed (75mph) but no off road yet. They have been good so far, Im happy with them as for road comfort and noise. My significant other didn't notice any difference at all and that confirms my thoughts on good comfort and little noise change. :)
I personally use and love my Yokohama Advan Fleva v701s. They do fantastic in Florida rain, I've never even skid—no clue about the snow though.
So I just got these Cooper Strongholds put on my truck. Went from a P tire so I was glad to get a nice rugged tire on. They are practical for what I need and looking forward to seeing how they perform in the snow. So far in the bit of mud I’ve been in they have great traction. They ride nice and are not super loud. I’d recommend these tires.
I would consider Cooper a mid range tire. They’re not cheap but they’re not premium. I have a 2007 Tacoma and it’s got 300,000 miles on it so I’ve ran many sets of tires. Just recently put the Cooper Discover A3 on my truck and they are great in the snow.
I can't tell you what to get (not enough time on my Yokohama Geolander X-CV to make an assessment on wear but so far they handle well) but I can tell you what NOT to get. Avoid the Allenzas at all costs.
Here is my experience with Cooper Tires. I purchased 4(180.00) each Cooper Discoverer A/T All-Season 275/55R20 60,000-mile warranty. For my Suburban that only sees highway. on Feb 18 2022. On April 2023 a very large bulge was noticed by a car that was behind me on the highway and let me know about the problem. That’s how big it was, a car behind me saw it. I took the car to the store where I bought the tires to see if they would warranty the tire. They had no idea how to even do a warranty. I was told to try another Cooper dealer, so I tried two. They wouldn’t even look at the tire, since they weren’t purchased there. I then paid 190.80 for a new tire. I had to send the bad tire into Cooper, and it was found to be a manufacturing defect. Cooper did end up giving me 120.00 back. The bad news is Dec. 30 2023 I noticed another bulge on a different tire. These tires still have 12/32” tread they look like new. I contacted Cooper again in regards to the new bulge. No response yet on that tire. I bought another and replaced it. Dealing with Cooper warranty is a joke. More bad news. March 13 2024 I had another bulge on another tire. These tires are just over a year old, I have never had issues like this before. At this point I bought 4 new tires not Cooper ever again. All 3 tires bulged the same way inside sidewall and not a small bulge.
