Tires YOKOHAMA or Nokia
I have landed on Nokian all-weather tires (WRG5 is the current generation). They are a pretty decent compromise for the typical range of conditions we see here. Yes, there are better tires for the harshest of winter conditions, but the Nokian All Weathers are in the sweet spot more days of the winter than any Hakkas or Blizzaks I've ever owned. The only real downside I've noted is relatively short life before they get noisy.
Few years ago I switched to Nokian Hakkapeliitta and I don't think I'll ever switch. I have them on my F150, a 4WD full size SUV and my little car and I've never had a problem. I live in the woods with a super long driveway and my wife is on call sometimes and has to go to the hospital in all weather conditions, she's never had an issue even when the plows get pulled off the road.
I have the Nokian Tyres WR G4, year round, and they have been great!
I ran their all-weather Remedy WRG5's last winter on my stock wheels and they were BEASTS. I HIGHLY recommend them if you live somewhere that gets mild/moderate amounts of snow and consistent temps below 40°F. They can be ran year round, but I like more grip during summer
Advan Fleva goods na yan.
I'm in Alberta with a 2022 CX-30 GT Turbo. I went with a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5's. Fantastic tires for ice and snow. The AWD does its job as well so winter driving hasn't been an issue.
Looks like I made it to about 38,000 miles on these Nokian One Tires and starting to show the cord.
I purchased a 2024 Crosstrek new in December 2023. By December 2024 all 4 tires needed to be replaced to pass inspection. The car had 30,750 miles on it. I just got off the phone with Yokohama to see about warranty coverage. I was informed that the Yokohama tires that came on my new car (Geolandar 091) do not come with a milage warranty.
