First highway trip on my 2018 XC60, got a chip on the windshield. Replaced by the dealer with $500 deductible.

My 2015.5 V60, I replaced my windshield several times. The shop wouldn't let me get a 3rd party glass, only a Volvo branded windshield. The shop even disputed with the insurance when they wanted to use 3rd party glass due to the safety features.
Pros: Volvo branded windshield

I had one 2021 S60 until last month, great for travel, very comfortable, lots of space for two kids.
Only issue was the windshield, change 3 , one for year, talk to the mechanic and said it’s ok, I think the quality of the parts is not what it was.
Pros: great for travel, comfortable

I had this happen on my Ioniq 5 TWICE! The QC from the factory on these windshields is a joke.

I had this with my 20 palisade: if you do not replace with an OEM windshield, your image will have ghosting in the display.

This is indeed a HYUNDAI manufacture defect. I’ve seen multiple other 2024 santa fe owners with the exact same crack in the exact same spot. My wife just bought her 2024 3 months ago and today we have the exact same crack you have here.

I have a 2021 Hyundai venue and on two occasions now my windshield has spontaneously cracked while parked in my driveway from the lower corners of the windshield and both are going halfway across the windshield spontaneously sitting in my driveway in California I've never had this happen in any other car I've ever owned.
Cons: spontaneous cracking, cracks spread
