I prefer Amsoil and their filter...I drive about 187 miles per day when training and the right oil makes all the difference. I tried Mobile 1 the first time but think Amsoil works better.
Reviews of spare parts for Audi A4
I switched to Mobil1 synthetic. The factory fill oil is 0w30. I replaced it with Mobil1 0w40, it complies with all of the specifications, and is not that expensive.
I've been using Amsoil on my '02 A4 1.8T. Converted it over as soon as I could b/c that little hamster gets hot during the long summers around here. Car doesn't burn a drop of oil, of coure it has only 29k on it.
I am using Castrol 0w-30 Synthetic. The Castrol distribuitor here in my country has a Audi A4 and he recomend to use 0w-30 synthetic. This oil meet VW specs. My dealer also recomend the same.
I use Beru Utra-X UXF79 4 tips plugs. It's a great plug for my chipped B6.
I have a sachs sport clutch kit in my A4 .No slip at launch.
It's pretty easy, you can keep your stock housing and just replace the bulbs and mount the ballast (Hella).
I have the HDs and would not have it any other way. I love them! Plus I'm confident they'll last the life of my car.
I've run K&N's in my carS for over 20 years including 5 VW's and Audi's and NEVER had a MAF failure until the one on my TT recently. HMMM. My A4 1.8T has had a K&N in it for 45k+ and it's running fine. No doubt if you don't oil the K&N correctly and submerge it in oil you will run into problems.
