At 50k, my rotors and stock pads were shot. The brembo pads are very aggressive and eat the rotor quickly. If you are racing or spirited stopping often, they will go quick. I went with power stop replacements and I am very happy. No more rotor click and much less brake dust. I daily drive mine, so most of the miles are pretty easy. 2020 spwb charger.
Best Brake pads for Dodge Charger
On my ‘18 Scat (Charger) with 6-piston fronts, I changed to the powerstop fronts at 16k, didn’t touch the rears. At 40k now, no regrets, no incessant squealing, no dust.
I always get Powerstop Brakes from Amazon. A set of Front & back costs me less than 500-600AED. Previously I used to buy Brembo's (OEM) as costed me 1200 AED for front & Back . I don't see any noticeable performance issues at all. The work the same way.
I changed my break pads themselves since the rotors can last a good while, PowerStop Z26. HIGHLY recommend. Great breaking and no break dust/squeal like the Brembos. I kept the Brembos for track days but for some spirited driving and daily, PoweersStops.
I have the Dynamics Package on my Scat Pack and installed Z23's about 1k miles ago on all 4 corners. The car is my daily, no track miles. I am happy with them for my application. There is a bit less initial bite but I honestly don't notice it anymore. The brakes will still hit like a brick wall if you try. The brake dust isn't completely gone but it is 100x less than with the stock pads. Nothing else really to report so far, they are quiet and do the job well enough for me.
The Performance Package also adds more aggressive, more fade-resistant brake pads. Hauling the car down from 60 mph ate up only 121 feet of pavement, impressive for a 2-tonner. Equally important, the big four-wheel discs didn't fade at all during our trio of simulated panic stops. ABS is standard and brake pedal feel is linear and firm.
powerstop z26 (just know these are noisy so lubricant them right, I recommend synthetic brake pad lubricant).
I have the powerstop z23 pads and man, they're so damn noisy. Anyone else experiencing the same? Trying to figure out if the shims need to be greased or the shop didn't put them on right ????
