Continental Tires
flowopmit
Rating 5.0
  • Grip:
  • Ride comfort:

For a 2020 Fit in Chicago, the Continental TrueContact Tour is the single best choice great comfort, really solid rain/slush grip, and perfect for small hatchbacks; I’ve run them on a similar car and they felt planted without being harsh.

Pros: great comfort, solid rain grip
Cons: without being harsh

BFGoodrich Tires

Went with the BFGoodrich Advantage Control, super cheap out the door w/ rebate at Costco, I think it was like like $450 for 4 tires? And BFGoodrich just uses older Michelin designs so their tires are amazing and better than the budget brands it competes with

Pros: super cheap, amazing tires

I've been happy with the Michelin Defenders that came with my Fit. Quiet, smooth ride, long lasting, and they're good enough for the way I drive.

Pros: quiet, smooth ride, long lasting

Falken Tires

I have a 2013 sport, live in Michigan and just put Falken Aklimates. An all weather snow stamped tire.  Just had my first snow rip in them today and they hook up nice. A little louder than my previous tires (tiger paws).

Pros: hook up nice
Cons: a little louder

GENERAL TIRE Tires

We replaced the OEM Firestones with a set of General AltiMAX RT45 all-seasons and they have been fantastic so far on our 2019. Quieter than the Firestones and excellent in both dry and wet.

Pros: quieter than Firestones, excellent in dry and wet

Laufenn Tires

Neighbor has Laufenn X Fit and I have G Fit and we're totally pleased with this Hankook sub brand in middle TN. Really quiet tires as Hankooks tend to be. Mostly excellent reviews on tire rack but a few folks claimed they were horrific in wet. So I went out on soaked roads and a parking lot and tested them and it took really heroic maneuvers that I never do to get as much as a chirp.

Pros: quiet tires, excellent reviews
Cons: horrific in wet (claimed)

Falken Tires

I have the Falken Sincera SN250 A/S and looking on Tire Rack, they seem to be a direct upgrade to your Laufenns for about $10 more each. Might be worth a try. I've found them to be quiet and absorbing of bumps and road weirdness. Also lightweight feeling.

Pros: quiet, absorbs bumps, lightweight

Laufenn Tires

Rating 3.0

I just put on some Laufenn G Fit tires in August that I got for quietness but get poor wet weather ratings from *some* reviewers. I tested them in slop and could only activate ABS with a very hard stomp or traction control on a painted line.

Pros: quietness
Cons: poor wet weather ratings

Giti Tires

Back in Dec 2022 I bought a new set of Giti E1 tires from a reseller and got them installed with alignment. The tires felt slippery in the wet even after 3 months of usage. I could feel the rear of the car sliding out even when doing 30-40km/h on a wet right bend.

Cons: slippery in the wet
Vehicle: Honda Fit
