My rear calipers on my 21 corolla seem to always stick. I have to keep reaplying caliper grease on the pins or they stick .Brakes and rotors wear out quickly. at 35,000km pads and rotors needed to be replaced fronts were still just like new. Just checked rear rotors today and there's superficial grooves on the rears again.

Most expensive thing I've had to replace is a rear brake caliper
Calipers started to stick. Charcoal canister solenoid failed. EGR diaphragm failed. Defrost/mode motor failed. Mice built a nest in the valley of the v6 motor, and moisture from the nest damaged the knock sensors.
Replace them with OEM GX460 calipers, rotors, and brake pads. As an '09 GX470 owner, I did mine several months ago - best braking experience I ever had. Rockauto is a great place to buy stuff at best prices. I bought CV axles made by cardone from them - $90 each. They run great on my GX.
Just make sure it’s for a GX460 from 2010-2013 or 14 cause they slightly changed in later years and it won’t mount up to the 470. I just did mine about a month n half ago with the OEM calipers pads and rotors and they’ve been great so far
They stating calipers are seized would make it a warranty concern that if you bring to corporate it’ll be covered. They fucked up saying that.
I don't have much to add other than front brake calipers tend to seize (at least on trucks that have seen road salt), but replacements are cheap and super easy to DIY.
JZA80 Supra TT 4 piston front brake swap with front SS lines and freshly rebuilt calipers, new rotors, and pads (stock front brakes were grinding metal to metal, so it was a safety concern for me)
