Brakes - about to get them changed for the first time.
Reviews of spare parts for Mazda
Factory tires are extremely mid. If you'll be driving in harsh weather conditions you should plan on upgrading them. I put Michelin CrossClimate 2s on mine and am very happy with them all year round.
Mazda 3 3rd gen and cx5 2nd gen here, hundreds of thousands of kms, no chips in the windshield.
My CX-30 just got hit by a sizable rock that flew off a pickup hauling hay on the freeway yesterday and it came out unscathed. I was sure I was about to eat a windshield but the glass was surprisingly durable.
I've heard good things about Akebono pads, but I'm curious how they compare to other options (Bosch QuietCast, PowerStop, Raybestos, etc.)
Contis VC7 were better on ice AND snow but especially road noise here in Montreal.
Had an MX-5 with 18k miles but it was 12 years old. Everyone told me “it was fine” but I decided to do a change any how. Once I put it all apart, I could see the original belt had the cams off my 1/2 tooth. My Lordy did it run better with the new belt. Smoothed out the idle which I didn’t even recognize as being bad, and felt like a 4-horsepower gain which is significant in a NA series!
Finally, ordered a duralast Alternator which is expected to be delivered tomorrow.
Mazda tech here, we hate them. Watched my foreman pull the entire front clip off of a phev one just to replace a cracked radiator at 2k miles.
The 18 inch wheels with low profile tires are rough, loud, and I've had 2 flats. The stock dunlop tires suck.
