AISIN is good.
Reviews of AISIN parts For Business
Japan
I have used the Aisin kit for Honda 3.5 V6 engines many times (3 thus far) - everything was high quality.
Aisin is the best name in the game currently. I’ve had one on my Forester for ~90k and 5 years. I recently pulled the motor to do piston rings and the only issue I noticed was the splined sprocket had a very mild bearing grind. Would have been an issue in like 30k miles but for now, totally fine and well within the 100k mile spec.
I have used Aisin kits every time on the several (near 10) timing belt replacements I have paid for over 25 years of owning Honda V6s, the Aisin parts work great, no issues.
For my last clutch kit, it was a Southbend stage 1 kit and of course the garbage Exedy disc exploded (typical spring retainers cracked). I simply replaced the disc with an OEM Aisin one directly from the dealership. Part number 31250-20140-84 - $62. So far, this $62 Aisin OEM clutch disc has been putting up with a 2GR-FE for 10k km's and 6 track days. It is likely the clamping force of the Southbend pressure plate that is doing most of the work, but I was not expecting it to have zero issues. It just shows you how the original Aisin spec is overkill already for the car.
Good choice won’t have an issue with it.
That looks like the one I put on mine. you’re always safest going with the oem part (aisin in this case) especially for a kit of this kind.
Specify or supply the Aisin THK002 belt kit for the job. It is OEM quality and half the price of Honda service department parts.
Rotors/ pads\nKYB shocks\nOEM Aisin water pump\nRear brake pads\nFront calipers
The timing belt failed kindly early 65k later, so could have been bogus Aisin parts.
