ATE Brake fluid

ATE is all I use in my Road Racing Vintage Car. Flush once a year, great braking, I'm in a Pinto that can outbrake most Miatas, it generates some good heating and the fluid does great, no complaints.

Pros: great braking, no complaints
Vehicle: Ford

ATE Brake fluid

Ate 200 caused my master cylinder in my M2 Competition to squeak. Wound up having to re flush with OE low viscosity fluid then again with SRF. It's a known problem in a few cars.

Cons: caused master cylinder squeak
Vehicle: BMW M2

On my Miata I run ATE Typ 200 and aven’t had any issues. I also run Hawk HP+ and some here would say they’re not a track pad, but for a light car they’re great.

Pros: great for light car
Vehicle: Mazda 5

For our light weight cars, ATE Typ 200 is good for basically all applications, up until you’re getting into high horsepower builds (motor swaps, high boost forced induction).

Pros: good for all applications
Cons: not for high horsepower

ATE Original TYP 200 is the GOAT. Look at the wet pointing point: 388F for ATE. 401F for Motul. An extra 13F isn't worth the price difference.

Pros: great performance, good value
