Youll be fine without a subaru filter, if youre using it long enough that it creates the pressure to go into bypass you need to stop being cheap and replace the filter each change and change more often.

I use Bosch Long Life D3300 oil filters and Rotella T6 5w40, gonna see how Motul 8100 5w40 does in comparison.

Avoid 5w30s most of them sheer to a 20 weight by the end of the change interval if you drive your car like its meant to be.

I've never had issues, and I oil test my car a few times a year.

As for the spark plugs, both Bosch Iridium and NGK Laser Iridiums are fine, arguably even better than OEM (which are made by Denso, btw).

That Bosch VR6 alternator was not a direct fit, but significantly easier than the Delcos other Rover owners commonly used. My method was faster, cheaper and way more reliable.

Pros: faster, cheaper, more reliable

Uneven wear:

I just finished swapping GLI calipers on our mk6 SEL jetta and it was pretty easy. The pedal is much firmer and car stops way better plus the brakes look great.

Pros: pedal much firmer, stops better

The g60 oem fpr part # is 535 635 735 5. The same part without the VW part # made by Bosch is 0 280 160 235.

Front 26" and 18" Based off some other forums and reviews on amazon.ca/.com i've decided to try out the Bosch Aero Twins.. They're supposed to be super quick/easy to install (same as OEM without adapters) and the reviews are all super positive. Worth the gamble i had Bosch Icon's on my last car and they were incredible. 37$ USD. AUDI VW BOSCH AeroTwin Front Wiper Blades PAIR 650/450mm 26 18 A863S 2008- Rear 11" Got the one mentioned above, since it's for the hatch i'm less picky and if the guy above says its an easy fit ill give it a shot. My rear one is streaky as hell right now. 18$ CAD. Bosch Rear Wiper Blade A282H/3397008634 Original Equipment Replacement- 11"

Pros: super quick/easy to install, super positive reviews

I have always bought bosch icons for my cars and my 2013 CC requires me to go to the dealer since the connection is not standard. The Dealer ones work 100% (no shock there).

Pros: work 100%

Cons: connection not standard

My personal favorites are the Bosch Icons. They're a little more expensive than other options, but they just work well and last a fairly long time.

Pros: work well, last long

Cons: more expensive

Acceleration:

Every time I fill up I check my mileage, I could never get great MPG from the FR8DS, but the coppers were way better MPG wise. Throttle response was less as well. The Silbers always looked more sooty during inspections than the coppers. The silver plug will last longer.

Pros: longer service interval

Cons: poor MPG, less throttle response, looked sooty
