I have a 2010 Accord with 196K and the original water pump! No issues.
Im at over 290k on the original water pump
I just paid 2k at the honda dealer in central Texas for timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and cam seals. But you really only need the belt and tensioner at those miles. I've never seen a Honda water pump go bad.
I did a water pump/ timing belt replacement on a Del sol last year. I paid $750.
The verdict was that the WP was leaking through the weep hole and a replacement would be $650.
The impeller fell off the new water pump from Honda after 80 miles of driving. I got a pump from the parts store, took everything apart, changed it. All good after that. So much for OEM Honda.
Im on the original Honda W/P on my 03 SI w/ 185k mi.
I have a water pump/timing belt job that is going to cost me 1400 to do. But on the bright side it will last me another 60k miles.
