Like if using Liquid Moly Mos2 leichtlauf has help quieten my engine ticking noise (mileage about 100k km).
Reviews of LIQUI MOLY parts For Business
Germany
Flush it with Liqui Moly or BPR engine flush, then use 5W-40.
(LM Leichtlauf reviews really well, but cheap-and-often is better than expensive-but-seldom when it comes to oil changes; I do mine once a year with boggo Comma or Mannol.)
Yeh I went for the TopTec 1800! Thank you!
I really like the LIQUIMOLY stuff.
I dealt with it by using liquid Molly engine flush. I used it a little differently than directed. Put it in & drive the car for about 200 mi Don't beat on it of course Then have the oil change. that car uses a 5W 30 oil I went with a 0w 30 The car burned almost no oil between changes after that.
My 2015 1.8 used to drink a piss load of oil when I first got it at about 100k miles. I switched to Liquid Moly or Mobil 5w40 every 7500 miles and it stopped on it’s own.
That’s being said, I did a TON of reading on this and landed on using LiquiMoly 75w90 GL4+ and it has really helped with shifting.
Liqui-Moly Leichtlauf 5w40 FTMFW! Switched at \~30k and now going on 90k...both run smooth as silk and don't burn any oil at all...
I used Liquimoly 5w-30 when I was NA, and still use liquimoly 5w-50 since boost. A little pricey ($120) for 10qts but worth it. Oil filter, just a ford performance filter. Pretty much any auto store will have them or a comparable brand in stock. When I was NA I’d do oil changes every 3k miles or sooner depending on how hard I drove it. Now with boost the max I go is 2k miles. Normally 1k-1.5k since I drive it hard and run e85.
It does the job but don't expect miracles from it. I've seen it do decent work on severly gunked up engines. Nothing magical, but it did clean up the valve train a little.
