We’ve had horrible luck with pilkington delivering damaged glass in the last few months. Just last week it took them FOUR attempts to deliver the windshield for an odyssey. It gets old real fast

I had my windshield replaced recently though my insurance, they tinted it (70% ceramic) for free and installed Pilkington glass for free. Not sure what the OEM is but Pilkington is aftermarket that's as good if not better than any OEM glass, many have reported it seems stronger where you wont get chips quite as easily.
I replaced mine with an OEC. Didn't need to be recalibrated. Didn't have issues and it's been 2 years
when you do need a replacement, get it replaced with Pilkington brand. It's far superior to OEM (usually Carlex)
Pilkington glass is my go to for any older Toyota as they were the oem supplier for most cars. They\u2019ll also accept glass back as defective if it doesn\u2019t calibrate.
So I used a company besides safelite to replace my windshield because they stressed that they only use OEM glass, but after they replaced it, its stamped Pilkington instead of Mazda, and while the glass says its HUD rated I felt like my eyes were straining to look at it.
They replaced with Pilkington glass and calibrated eyesight.
The glass we’re on now is a Pilkington, replaced and calibrated at a shop closer to home. This glass has lasted 3x longer than the others combined and recently took a strike from a nickel-sized rock :)
Pilkington>Carlex
Pilkington is waaaaay superior to whatever OEM supplier they use. Porsche, Land Rover, and many other luxury brands use Pilkington for their glass, and it holds up very well! My Cayenne's windshield is absolutely battered, and it's still on its original glass from 2012.
