I run Rotella in my 49 flathead and in my 91 civic.
As long as you don't have a catalytic converter on it Diesel oil with Zinc is the best
I run Rotella in my E24 at the advice of people on the BMW forums.
So I took his advice and did the Rotella T-4 and MMO in my 71 LeSabre 350. Added a little to the gas, too. I run 93 octane gas. Engine is stock and original, about 90k miles. It's running so smooth now. It was an immediate, noticeable difference.
Rotella T6 5w-40. No difference in fuel mileage or anything.
My car runs on 5W-30 and 5W-40, fully synthetic. Been running on Synthium and Shell Helix. Honestly, feels the same
Using rotella t4 btw.
It seems to do a fine job lubricating, but, everything I ever put it in started consuming oil. They all stopped once I switched to other oils.
Shell rotella t5 its valvetrain runs much smoother and quieter with a thicker diesel oil.
