While I have a 6 speed, I just replaced the clutch in my car. I went with the single mass flywheel. There is no chatter. The pedal is extremely light and very easy to engage. I had thought about reusing the original flywheel and I'm glad I ordered the single mass because my flywheel had a lot of extra play in it when it was removed and needed to be replaced.

Pros: pedal extremely light, easy engage

Cons: flywheel had extra play

I have Valeo wipers on my B8 currently. They clipped right in with no modifications needed.

Pros: easy installation, perfect fit

I had to replace my alternator as well....low voltage in the battery will cause faulty gauge readings and irrelevant warning lights until all is restored....I went with a 120 amp Valeo; the pulley had to be swapped from my old alternator...

Pros: 120 amp, solved issue

Cons: pulley had to be swapped

Brightness:

Initial impressions are great. The color temperature is clearly whiter and brighter. Even just looking at the projectors with the lights on yields a much cleaner look. Output on the road is definitely whiter than the OEM's, but still admittedly a bit "warmer" than what I expected - but the bulbs are still burning in.

Pros: whiter and brighter, cleaner look

Cons: bit warmer

I just had a clutch be replaced on my R53 even though it wasn't slipping - the pressure plate was bad and failing, along with the slave cylinder leaking, and I ended up just replacing the whole kit while they had it off the car. (Valeo kit for $500, then $1500 in labor.) I would be prepared to replace it soon. It's expensive but incredible peace of mind.

I use Valeo wipers, i got me a new set yesterday from, FCP Euro. $22 for the set. Seems to work good to me, wipers in general don't work well on my rock pitted windshield, my OEM blades did last me 3years and 85k miles though, rubber was still okay but the streaks were getting bad.

Pros: work good

Cons: streaks were getting bad

My mk3 golf is at the shop right now because I installed a replacement valeo alternator and it didnt seem like a perfect fit and shredded up the serpentine belt. I think the shop I got the replacement from gave me a bad fit.

Pros: replacement alternator installed

Cons: not a perfect fit, shredded belt
