Had both rear brake calipers seize up on mine so have a look at them and check that they're in good nick. That can happen on any car though, so it's not specific to this Volvo, but worth checking before it leaves you stranded like mine did.

They were almost a direct bolt-on, just needed to change the rubber brake hose because the fittings were a different thread.
