Endless M4/S2 combo with rotors, etc. Saves almost 20 lbs front but also almost 9 lbs in the rear.
Owner reviews for brake discs
I always run Powerstop. They're great pricing and great brakes setup. All my vehicles has powerstop setup. I consider them great budget brake system over oem.
The ATE disks are made from the same cores it seems, but they are coated entirely in some matte grey coating, the BMW ones aren’t, that’s the difference that I have noted.
Track pads and the basic Centric rotors. Get the Boomba air deflectors that mount on the control arms and remove your dust shields.
I ran G-LOC pads with Castrol SRF with this setup and had my rotors glowing with minimal fade at Gingerman.
I'm running their slotted rotors (honestly just for looks). Back and forth between red and yellow. Usually mount yellows for autox/dragon runs.
I have been driving multiple BMWs for almost 20 years and have always used Zimmermans as replacement rotors. I will keep buying them.
The online vendors offer Zimmerman/Akebono kits, I installed one on the front of my E92 and brake dust is nearly eliminated. The Akebono Ceramic pads might have slightly less bite but I'm happy with them.
OE is likely ATE or Pagid. Zimmermann is totally 100% fine OEM alternative.
I don't notice a difference between my T drives and OEM 2022 GSXR 1000 brembo rotors honestly. Can definitely tell the difference with fresh fluid, new pads, and a new master though.
I’m running bosch quietcast pads/rotors all 4 corners, not a huge fan, probably wouldn’t do it again. They seem to “warp” easy getting some pulsating after only 15k on fronts and 5k on rears.
