If it goes away when the car warms up then it’s a failing coolant temperature sensor. It’s dumping in excess fuel because there’s no cat and then when it finally warms up, the sensor starts working to reduce fueling.
GM coolant temperature sensors rarely if ever go bad.
Did you change the coolant temperature sensor?
When all was said and done replacing the CTS (coolant temperature sensor) solved the issues.
Took my chances and bought the Duralast CTS for $11 and so far so good. Engine cranked over without pressing the accelerator pedal.
ive used topran parts before for my timing belt head gasket and coolant temperature sensor all have been pretty good except for the sensor which i think is starting to fail after a year
