if you're going this route, **** the stock struts/shocks, the Alltrack specific b6 is similar parts price and so much better
Owner reviews for shock absorbers
I just lowered my wife's car (per her request) on H&R springs with new kyb shocks. It rides a bit stiffer (as expected) but no issues with rubbing or alignment. The turn-in response is greatly improved as well as body roll reduction.
I also noticed that the Bilstein B6 are not much more than the B4 on Rock Auto, given that you are driving a Boxster, handling is probably a top priority, why not use the chance to also get an upgrade?
Ive got sachs m-sport shocks with eibach pro kit front springs and h&r rear springs. To me it sits perfect.
Despite the fact that I had to pour quite a bit of $ into bringing ours up to an OK state (Bilstein shocks, new rims, brakes, battery and alternator) it always puts a smile on my face and makes me want to drive it more.
I believe that the only solution is 2 Blistein B6, about 400USD each
I replaced my Mazda RX8s struts with kyb gas-a-just shocks and really like them! For a rwd sports car that I occasionally autocross they haven’t let me down!
For the the rear right now I put on rancho rs5000x as they were less tha half price of the eibach. The rancho was ALOT more plush with the aal than Bilstein.
I replaced everything on my front suspension at 150,000. Went with Bilstein B4s, but I wasn't super happy with them when they were new. They're well-damped, but ride on the stiff side.
I bought my car with Bilsteins (B6) and I think they suck. The grip is good but they are unbelievably harsh.
