Owner reviews for spark plug
That's what I am running in my wife's 94 and the idle in her car is real smooth...
I use Autolite plugs plat 1 cheepos that get me 400 miles per tank and seem to handle continuous high rpm output ( drove across the US in four days)
OEM plugs are NGK... they are the only ones that actually work. you can use copper over the platinums to save a few $$, but you'll be changing them more often. as for wires, the same, use OEM, I am and I have been running a stg III s/c kit...colder, but still NGKs, and BERU wires.
I run the F6DTCs and have great results with them
I've run NGK BKR7E's, NGK BRK7IX's, Bosch FR7LDC, and Bosch F7LTCR's. Of all of these plugs I noticed the best performance out of the F7LTCR's.
today I installed a NGK BK7RE to my jetta, and it feels great. I like them a lot, considdering I haven't change my stock sparks .
Apparently these are good for my race car but might not be good for street application.
BP7ES gapped at .025 aren't doing it.
Cooler plugs (NGK BP7ES) gapped first to .028, then to .025 have changed NOTHING.
