I went with the eibach adjustable stuts with oem springs to achieve a 2in "level" without using spacers. I find that the ride quality is way better than stock and it looks great.
Owner reviews for strut assembly
I have Eibach springs with Koni Sport struts. The ride is great and handling is really improved as well.
Went with KYB struts, they got several good reviews compared to OEM
Personally I’ve had good luck with Gabriel ReadyMount (Nissan Maxima). I got about 90k miles out of one set and just replaced with the same brand.
Monroe Quick Struts all the way man. I sell them daily at work, 99.99% of the time no one has any problems with them. They are the #1 selling aftermarket complete strut assemblies on the market.
For this project, I went for comfort, and these definitely delivered. It's cushy over bumps and dips in the road, and delivers a smoother ride.
I also went with Koni STRs on H and R springs with powerflex 10mm lowering strut bushing and its a dream to drive. It takes these northeastern new york country roads in strides. Its never bottomed out. And the quality of the suspension just makes it a dream to drive. I drive it hard and it takes it.
Before and after installing Bilstein B8 struts and shocks, and VWR springs.
Monroe struts tend to be of mediocre quality. For standard driving they're ok, but they don't really tolerate lowering springs well.
You’d probably do the car a disservice by fitting some of the aftermarket struts that are out there like Monroe or Gabriel, I’d recommend sticking to Honda OEM or KYB.
