BRIDGESTONE Tires

I've been running a set of Weatherpeaks on my Kia Seltos since spring.

They are quiet, didn't impact fuel mileage at all from the OEM all seasons, handle great in dry and wet, and the snow traction has been exemplary. Glare ice is not perfect, but really only a good studded winter stands a chance with that. Mixture of snow/ice is handled with no problem...When they do break traction, they have been very predictable and easy to recover.

Pros: quiet, great handling, good traction
Cons: glare ice not perfect
Vehicle: Kia

I put a set of 4 weatherpeaks on our FWD Mazda 3 and I have been very pleased. Quiet, smooth, surprising good in the snow (especially for fwd). And great in dry and rain so far too. Would absolutely buy again.

Pros: Quiet, smooth, good in snow
Vehicle: Mazda 3

I recently purchased a set of 4 Toyo Celsius 2 tires for my 2019 Kia Optima. After living with them for a couple of days, they're good but they have a couple of weird quirks.

Pros: Pretty quiet, great snow/ice traction, soaks up bumps great.

Cons: The compound feels unnervingly soft, to the point it feels like it's running on low pressure (it's not). As a result, I feel like dry handling takes a big hit. I can't speak much for MPG but because of how soft the tires are, there seems to be a lot of rolling resistance.

Pros: Pretty quiet, great traction
Cons: soft compound, dry handling
Vehicle: Kia Optima

Pirelli Tires

Ridden both tires (well the GP5000 TLR not the STR) and both are brilliant. Pirellis are easier to fit and seem sturdier but that's just based on my experience. Both are great tires so I'd get which ever has the best price

Pros: brilliant, easier to fit

Pirelli Tires

I use tubeless 30mm P-zeros on my roadbike, I put 2300 miles on them from new last year (3700km). The rear tire is done for, it looks like your front tire, it has chunks of the carcass missing and I can see the inner layers. This isn’t surprising because the rear tire wears out faster than the front because most of your weight is on the rear and the driven wheel also wears out the tire faster. I’m also 280 pounds so that shortens the life span too. But the front tire still looks good, I’m thinking I’ll get about a half season more out of it. I bought a new p-zero to mount on the rear, and I’ll keep buying them one at a time to replace each tire as they wear out. I’ve been very happy with the performance of these tires so far

Pros: happy with performance
Cons: rear tire wears fast
Mileage: 3700 km

MICHELIN Tires

The guys at the Motoring Club in West LA had a 4C Spider to rent for a while, which I did, and it was amazing. The example I drove had a more neutral wheel alignment and Michelin PS4S tires, it was really solid in turns, not the death machine people say at all.

Pros: really solid in turns
Vehicle: Alfa Romeo 4C

They performed admirably, especially for the price. To my ears they were quieter than the factory Dunlops, and they definitely lasted longer. I replaced them after around 45,000 miles (~72,000 km since I see you are a northern neighbor) because of a sidewall bubble, but that was courtesy of a massive pothole rather than any sort of defect. There was still tread life remaining.

Pros: quieter than factory Dunlops, lasted longer
Cons: sidewall bubble from pothole
Vehicle: Mazda 3
Mileage: 72000 km

Falken Tires

I've got the same setup and love it. I did have to send one tire back. Could not get it balanced on any of the wheels. Replacement came in and it was great. I've heard that's somewhat common with falken.

Pros: love the setup
Cons: balancing issues common

Just had my Michelin LTX (world’s ugliest tire) in for an attempted rebalance and they told me after a couple tries the same day that they’re shaped like a boiled egg cut in half. Tech did what he could but ultimately I’m getting new tires.

Cons: shaped like boiled egg
