Owner reviews for tires
I also live in Toronto, I use Viking Contacts in the winter, very happy with these tires. They are quieter than the average winter tire when driving on bare dry pavement.
I run 18" wheels both summer and winter, and use Michelin Pilot Alpins in the cold, Michelin PS4s in the summer and they serve me very well.
I've been using Bridgestone TURANZA 6 ALL SEASON since they came out, they are heads and shoulders above CrossClimates in every area other than snow, they are also considerably cheaper not being Michelins.
I've been really happy with the Potenza RE980AS+ on my 2002 New Beetle Sport. The Tire Rack performance numbers are very good across the board.
I have Sailun tires on my old 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport.... They are a few months old and I like them.... It rains alot here in Florida and they have good traction....
Also had Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3s on mine. Didn’t have an option to switch, but I don’t really have any complaints either.
MFD date of 2014 for my Toyos on my G. I think they aren’t bad, for the price
Mine are now just under 9k wear and have become noisey AF. Not to mention they seem to grip less and less as they get used. On a 2015 GTI and I have the car aligned twice a year with winter/summer seasons tire swaps. New they were awesome.
I have a vendetta against Firestone since they exploded on my Explorer and nearly wrecked me, only had like 10k miles.
