got an exact OEM replacement glass with all the sensors, etc back working 100% perfect with no issues now after 2.5 years with that replacement.
Owner reviews for windshield
I had my 2021 HTC windshield replaced last week. I learned what most of you already know - my car has a Zora windshield. This means the passenger side lower corner has a silhouette of Zora and the driver's side corner has Team Corvette etched into the black paint so you can slide some colored paper between the windshield and the dashboard to make the etching pop out. OEM glass costs more and has these two 'easter eggs' - 3rd party glass does not.
I ended up going through a local glass company, and they sourced OEM glass from BMW. The replacement went perfectly.
Just left the dealership today looking for a quote on my 2021 430i with HUD. I was going to pay out of pocket to avoid a comprehensive claim on my insurance until I was quoted $2K.
I've had several over the years, mostly fine, some proportion variations here and there or where the black fading around the edges is and how thick it is etc, but largely okay. I'd say the biggest thing I notice is the appearance of those Little sparkly rock chips becomes easier to develop on the aftermarket glass.
Subaru windshields are crap, really.
Yes multiple times
The glass quality on Subaru Forester since 2014+ is a shit!.... Subaru windshields are shit.
My 21 outback went through 3 windows. 4 total before selling.
I had one not a week after I bought my 2022 - it seems like Subaru's windshields like to crack and I don't want to be constantly replacing windshields.
