You may not actually need the recalibration… if you have a heads up display, that’s probably different but otherwise it may not be necessary at all. Went through this with my 21 RAV, lots of places tell me, I would need to take it to the dealer for calibration after the new glass. The place I went to said to try it out first and then decide if you need it because a lot of times through replacement does not affect anything. so I got the new glass and drove off, no issues no need for recalibration. The windshield cracked and a construction zone about six months after I got the car. It’s been a couple years and about 80,000 miles since then. No complaints or problems with any of the sensing pack, works like the day I brought it home

Had to have our Tesla windshield replaced last year, but it’s good as new.
I had some stuff done, added a couple of things, and washed my 2010 MK6 Golf TDI (manual) with 205K miles. New windshield - OEM VW from Safelite - replaced severely pitted original windshield after 200K+ miles It feels very good driving my clean car with the new bits!
I have a 22 6MT. I drive the hell out of it and don’t have any issues with windshield chips.
I used my Tesla service center. They did an adequate job
weak glass from my similar experience. I will say I have less bad luck with the 3 Hondas and they get more miles on the same roads.
Had our 24 less than 9 mos- on our 3rd windshield- theres gotta be a problem
My 2024 has so small many small chips in it. I drive the same commute without any issues for years with my old car and then bam. All of a sudden chips out of nowhere. The windshield quality sucks.
My factory windshield cracked in two different places within the first 4 months I had the car. I would say they were smallish rocks that caused the damage.
Subaru glass is the worst I've ever had.
