If you can, avoid using Subaru glass for the replacement. I replaced mine with a pilkington windshield and it isn’t as sensitive to cracks spreading.

Make sure your windshield is Volvo original and not aftermarket.
Just got mine fixed 2 weeks ago. Initially, it was a small crack in the top-right corner, and it extended gradually until a cold morning like -5 degrees, then it cracked across the whole windshield.
My suggestion is to put in a claim to your insurance company and insist on a replacement with a genuine Honda OEM, (Original Equipment Manufacture), windshield.
I had my 2025 m3 just a couple of weeks, got two Rick chips, went to Tesla to have them fixed. Instead of fixing them, they just replaced the whole damn windshield.
i wish i knew forester windshields chip and crack easily. my 24 forester limited has 26k miles on it. there's three large chips in the windshield and hundreds of small flecks missing.

I have the original Toyota windsheild and it's wavy as hell. Gives me the jumpy tummy. So OEM is not always best.
The 2020 and 2021 windshields were utter crap. It was in the materials.
The wife has been trying to coerce me into a truck and we’ve driven the cyber truck. Honestly, coming off my model 3 i was sorely disappointed in it. Admittedly the test drive experience was soured by the filthy truck, shitty parking lot, and unhelpful test drive supervisor. But the thing just wasn’t as easy to see out of as say a silverado ev and the minimalist design that works in a sedan feels less good in a truck. Especially when you have so much dashboard and giant windshield. You also run into the issue that if you need to open the back up, you lose your rearview mirror entirely. Weird they wouldn’t make the thing a screen to the camera like most trucks do now.
