AC compressor OEM Subaru or OEM FORD
I have a 2015 OB, just surpassed 200k. This car has gone coast to coast, up to the Great Lakes, across to PA, through the desert, everywhere, all for DOG SHOWS and sports. The past 6 weeks I had two trips to TN, one to MO, and one to KY. It has hair in it that’ll never get out again, but I bought this vehicle to haul them as well as equipment and people. Worst thing to happen to it is my AC went out this year (I live in Texas) and I had to get a new compressor for it.
Note: I'm a 28 year old man with no knowledge of how cars work.
In order to save money on my truck, I forced myself to learn how to replace an AC compressor on an F-150 with no mechanical background or knowledge whatsoever. 6 hours of cursing and labor later, I did it.
My 15 was getting pretty bad this year, cycling between warm and cold. I did the washer mod on the AC co.pressor, where you pull the smaller washer, and it helped big time.
The only problem I've had with my recently acquired 2014 XV is that it still has the old version of the ac compressor, which isn't a cheap fix. AC still works intermittently, though, I just have to toggle it on and off every few minutes.
Ford connect 2021 la 64.000 i-a picat compresorul de clima. La putin timp după garanția de 2 ani.
Right at 5k miles the AC Compressor stopped working. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the Compressor. 3 weeks later, 5,600 miles, hot air blower out the vents again. Again they replace the Condensor, Compressor. All under warranty... 4 AC Compressors. When we got rid of it in 2019, the APP and the AC stopped working for the 4th time.
A/c compressor went out and I’m too cheap to fix it.
She's replaced the compressor, condensor, AC recharged then a year or so later once again blowing hot air (we're in TX). Spoke to the mechanic right now & he said the compressor clutch is not kicking in because it's not receiving the ground signal from the engine computer.
Mine just seized up while I was 5 hours from home in my 2015... Lol. Started smoking and I could feel the air was humid so I immediately shut it off and it didn't melt my belt. Making a noise though so now I'm debating if I wanna rebuild it or juts buy a new one...
I have a 2018 and had to get a new compressor. I have a great mechanic and he straight up tells me that Subaru a/c are just garbage. I have an ‘09 Corolla and a ‘17 F-150 work vehicle, and both of those put out ice cold a/c no issues. Even with the new a/c, coolant, and everything else, it still pretty weak.
