Alternator OEM Audi or Duralast
Exact thing happened to my vehicle earlier this month. Left me stranded. Luckily I was in the last month of warranty and got a shiny new alternator!

Last year I had a similar experience/warnings with my 2021 RS6. Flat bedded to the dealership and they replaced the alternator under warranty.
Pros: replaced under warranty

Mine lasted 270 000 km before needing to be replaced .
Pros: long lifespan
Cons: eventual failure

2004 Limited with 310000 miles alternator went out so went to local service shop . They were able to get it in and repaired next morning other shops in the area are a week backlog.Parts we're 310.00 (Duralast alt.and Gates belt)

I’ve had two D/L Alternators. Each has lasted 3 or 4 years.

Ya my alternator failed in 32k kilometers... But Audi Japan replaced it for free so it was okay ...

Wouldn\u2019t recommend unless you like spending your time on the side of the road or at the dealer. Mine just went back to my local dealer today for its 4th alternator in 32k total miles, 3rd one in the last 6 months. Literally just got the car back 5 days ago for the same issue.

Had an alternator problem (which was a recall) that completely shut down the car in the middle of driving (dash and all electronics turned off) leaving me stranded to wait for a tow truck. Audi fixed it for free.

Got a remanufactures duralast alternator. Worked for about a week and the died.
Cons: died quickly, short lifespan
Reman alternator quality is in the toilet. Not uncommon to have to warranty an alternator once or twice.
Cons: alternator quality is bad
