Battery Deka or Duralast
I bought a Duralast Platinum H5 AGM. I have read several instances of Subaru of America reimbursement.

Recently installed the Duralast Platinum. One week in and everything is working like a new battery should be.
Pros: working as expected, good performance
I drove over to Autozone and asked to borrow their battery/alternator scanner. CC amperage was way down, so just threw a new battery in there, and all is good. Ended up costing $230 even with tax, and $22 core charge credit for their Duralast with a 3 year warranty.
Pros: new battery, all good
Cons: CC amperage way down

Just a heads up I had same issue with my Titan and it was the battery. I purchased a cheaper battery and 6 months in I get only a click when trying to start truck. Sometimes would start sometimes not. Then I bought the same battery again to see if that would fix the issue. This time it didn\u2019t start at all with the same type of battery, tested 100% charge and 100% battery life. So I said let me try buying a better quality battery just to see if anything happens, sure enough the truck started. It has kept starting ever since.
Pros: truck started, issue fixed
Cons: cheaper battery failed

UPdate - new battery and bluetooth 12v monitor installed last Monday night, all good since then including one day with 40 miles of driving and recharging in weather well below freezing (16 to 28 F), but I happen to be mostly driving other cars the rest of the time since.
FYI, altho I ordered from Remy, the sticker on the battery I received says [Deka Intimidator EHP](https://remybattery.com/batteries/brand/deka-intimidator-batteries.html?srsltid=AfmBOorxsFi7eoMbizQPDMsF1q-32WuvMxLPyiLSgftX8ExWmqHWSfq4). IDK if there's any functional difference - it seems to have the exact same terminal connections as the OEM BMW battery it replaced.
Also FWIW, despite no indicator on the shipping box for 'this side up' and it clearly getting Ace-Ventura'd around by FedEx, it did not leak or show any signs of damage inside the shipping box. It was well padded with foam made to fit the battery and fill the entire shipping box. So far I'm happy and the car seems to be too.

OEM for Harley. I've replaced several with an average lifespan of 5 yrs at 20%+ cheaper than Harley branded
Pros: long lifespan, cheaper
As a harley tech I see more aftermarket batteries fail then I see oem ones fail. There are a few good aftermarkets like DEKA but for the most part aftermarket batteries seem to fail quicker then oem.
Pros: OEM batteries more reliable
Cons: aftermarket batteries fail quicker
Duralast is a decent brand, I’ve always went with the gold, no real reason just that it’s what was in the car before.

Drive a 2018 Nissan Rogue, about 80k miles. Have a Duralast Gold battery from Oct 2023, but live in central Texas where I hear batteries don't last as long.
