Battery Deka or OEM Mercedes
My Mechanic had me get non-AGM style from Deka. I have the dual battery setup, and have drained my spare a few times already and it’s out performed the previous brands.
I really like the Deka ETX12. Point is these batteries are bulletproof. They last longer than any other battery I have ever gotten. I highly recommend them.
This just happened to me last month on my 2017 C43 on the OEM battery. I guess five years is typical on these newer MB.
I currently run a Deka Intimidator in my rig and it's been problem free for 3 years now
the only time it failed me was when the battery died after 100k miles.
Deka ETX15, Deka makes a great battery and they’re sold under a few manufacturers.
When you say, \u201ctwo new batteries\u201d are you speaking of the big ones? There is a small one that operate your convenience/comfort items. It looks like a small garage door battery.
Just use a Deka ETX20L. I think they're 15 pounds or so and they're cheap and widely available. Mine seem to last about 2-3 years, although they usually die from me forgetting to turn the headlights off. I was able to recharge my last one using a wall charger and I squeezed another 6 months out of it before finally replacing it.
I’ve had it 3.5 years and it just started doing the “Stop Vehicle Leave Engine Running” thing about a month ago.
Exactly the same issue I am currently facing with a month old GLC300. No resolution yet
