I JUST replaced my wife's 2013 Beetle battery with a Duralast from Autozone.
My go to now is odyssey, though they are fairly pricy. If i dont have a choice, like when my battery literally [exploded](https://www.reddit.com/r/Justrolledintotheshop/comments/pqcbcm/i_sounded_like_a_shotgun/], i get optima.
I swear by odyssey batteries in particular the pc1500st
I used the duralast from autozone.
I use duralast and get about 4 years on a battery. No complaints at all.
Outback has a Duralast Gold. If it helps, we’ve had some harsh -30°f days the last few years since I upgraded my battery. No issues what so ever on it.
I've installed the Odyssey Extreme battery in my Outback. These are AGM with 99% pure lead, not the alloy. Best battery I've come across.
Got a Duralast (I'm not driving an hour round-trip to the f'ing dealer to overpay for a battery). Another inconvenience on newer cars that's completely unnecessary. Really aggravating. Hoping it clears itself out shortly.
we see many 2 year old Duralast batteries that have failed.
I ran an Odyssey mini battery in my weekend car, any longer than 2 weeks without driving would drain it. I wouldn't really recommend a mini battery for a daily, if your car doesn't start after 2-3 tries, you might be stuck lol.
