Battery OEM Chevrolet or OPTIMA
Yellow top is/was a hybrid cranking/deep cycle battery, once popular for putting big stereo systems in cars because it could handle the discharge cycles of running the system without them engine running.
At 10 years and 330,000 kms my Volt battery didn't even show degradation.
Mine is ten years old. It's a Chevy volt so it's a small battery and has over 3000 cycles and done 130000 km. It's at 87% original capacity.
Ive been using a yellow top for around 5 years in my CRV with no issues
had one in a car that rolled 4 times and it’s still working
Get a OPTIMA Yellowtop D35 Like I Did, I've Never Had Any Startup Issues Eversince, I Actually Regret Not Buying One Before I Spent $120 For a Battery Tender Jump Box From Amazon.com
I’ve had an Optima Red Top in my 2012 JK Rubicon for about 8 years. My mechanic recently said the battery is on its way out, and now the Jeep is struggling to turn over. I’ve heard Optima’s quality has dropped since I bought mine.
Optimas are not the brand they once were, I would never put one in my vette after the brand new $300 red top I put in my Durango basically exploded a week after I put it in.
Optimas don’t seem to hold up any better than the AGM from the parts store.
Optoma are shit nowadays anyway.
