Battery OEM KIA or OEM Volvo
I just replaced my 2012 Volvo XC 60 battery. The car has 155k miles and the battery lasted for over 13 yrs. I drive in cold weather for over 6months/yr.
Didn’t even have to replace the battery in that time (11 years).
Papa hat den eNiro von 2020 mit 64kwh Akku. Der hat laut OBD noch 96%soh nach 100.000km.
Der SoH von Papas eNiro 64kwh (2020) ist laut OBD Dongle nach 100.000km noch bei ca 96%. Bisher keine merklichen Reichweitenverluste. Kommt soweit wie am ersten Tag.
Eversince i did not have problem on my battery Bought my SUB in WA But we moved here in AZ last 11/2023 Just today my battery ended☹️so after 7yrs need a new battery. Its too hot here AZ like right now 7:15 pm still 110’super hot
My husband\u2019s used Kia EV 6 \u201822 had a 12volt die. Bought a new one under $200 and used a YouTube video to replace.
the cars are decent, the customer service at the dealers, hit or miss.
the Vancouver (Coquitlam) dealership i bought my Kia from knew jack squat about my car - I basically just needed them to sell me a car, that I knew more about at the time of sale than they did.
went to a different one, and got a much better experience, they were willing to sit down and talk to you about what the problems were, what options were, etc. So in short, the early EVs (like the one I drive) were kinda iffy depending on your experience, could be great could be terrible, but the classic ioniq is one I would hands down trade in for. The extra cobalt inside the cells means the degradation happens less, it doesn't overheat as quickly, charges reasonably fast, and more efficient than tesla :p
I have a Kia Soul that goes through the OEM batteries every two-three years.
I have a friend who bght volvo XC-90. He had horrible experience with the battery in just couple of weeks and had to replace it as part of warranty.
Mine died at about 44k. Good news is Kia is fully covering the replacement and the mileage warranty restarts with the new battery
