I still have the original BMW battery on my 2005 e46 sedan
my n55 project car is original from 2011, still haven’t changed it. shows zero signs of weakness
BMWs are super good on batteries. They seem to last 9 years or more even in the midwest with extreme cold.
I got a full ten years on mine. 2012 F30 320d that i've had from new, now got 85k miles.
Pruis 12v battery last a long time. I just replaced my 11 year old battery. It was still working I just decided to do it as maintenance.

low miles 10 yr old vehicle means its possible it has the original BMW factory installed battery. Some of those can last 10 years, I had a 2013 bmw 3 series and in 2022, I finally changed the original battery.
The OEM battery is AGM. If it was an OEM battery it wouldn't be lead acid, at least here in the US. Not sure what you're talking about. I installed mine three years ago and have had no issues despite winters that range from below 0 to summers that reach 100. Fahrenheit obviously.
BMW i3… loved that little toaster but 80 mile range wasn’t cutting it anymore. I still enjoyed running errands and zipping through parking lots.
Dealer measured my 2021 m340xi battery at 700cca last week under load test (vs 850 cca capacity) and said battery needed to be replaced. Terminal was stamped 26th week of 2020.
