Battery OPTIMA or OEM Subaru
Although now I run an Optima Redtop that doesn't need to vent.
always a safe bet to get a good optima battery, i drained my cheapo oem battery several times before i became fed up with it. optima has help up great
I've owned a red top for the last two years which I know is not very long but haven't had any problems either.
I have had an optima for my Jeep Wrangler for close to 3 years. Never any problems. I have left the lights on a few times too draining the battery... never any problems after recharging either... not sure why everybody hates them.
I have an optima Yellow top in my GLI. Everything went in easy... very awesome battery i must say. I have a large sound system with a cap and this battery has never failed me.
I just pick one up from the junk yard for $15 and they offer a 30 day warranty. You can find a nice optima used for around $60-$80 in this area
I have the model 35 and the stock cover does fit over it: As far as long term, I haven't been super impressed... I've had my redtop die a few times over the last few years, not even from extended use... however it did get rid of issues I had with my lights dimming from the sub and if I decide to drive upside down it supposedly can handle that
Optima batteries have slowly gone to shit since they were bought by Johnson Controls.
Their batteries have never been great, and they've always failed prematurely for myself and several others.
Optima is no longer the same quality as it was years ago due to outsourcing to Mexico
