Battery OPTIMA or OEM Volkswagen
had one in a car that rolled 4 times and it’s still working
Get a OPTIMA Yellowtop D35 Like I Did, I've Never Had Any Startup Issues Eversince, I Actually Regret Not Buying One Before I Spent $120 For a Battery Tender Jump Box From Amazon.com
Had a yellow optima that went 10 years and it started to slow a bit. Replaced the yellow with a red 6 years ago and it’s still fine.
I use oem bc I get discounted price else I’d use optima, bc I personally on my cars with optimas have never had a problem and oldest is coming up on 9 years
I went to the store and traded the core of my perfectly "good" DieHard Gold (~18 mos old) and spent $400 on an Optima Yellow Top. The difference was immediate. Interior lights were brighter, mirrors functioned normally, no 'system off' garbage, truck opened and closed without hesitation. It starts strong and fast. With the temperature dropping, the peace of mind has been 100% worth the price. I even put the portable jump starter back in the garage. It worked.
VW OEM batteries in modern cars often do that. I was lucky to detect slightly "lazy" cranking in my 2018 GSW 4Mo. Tested and showed %51 SOH even after fully charging it. Lasted 6 years almost to the date.
My golf 2010 VW dashboard ****s down but car remains running. When it don't start take out the battery touch the two cables together with out the battery. For 15 seconds to reboot the car and it starts back.
Optimas don’t seem to hold up any better than the AGM from the parts store.
Optoma are shit nowadays anyway.
Optima batteries suck as of the parent company’s sale about 10 years ago. Dead battery rate tripled in our fleet of cop cars (used for driving instruction).
