Battery Panasonic or OEM Chevrolet
UPDATE: i just got my wifes car back from the dealership and it turns out it was the battery for hers. The voltage thats normal for her car is 14.8 volts not 13.4. He said there are 40+ computers and when the voltage is low it causes havoc in the car.
When I bought my used bolt from Carvana. I had scheduled a full review at the local Chevy service center/dealership. They confirmed the battery had been recently replaced, other than that perfect condition.
Chevy Volt. It was a true gateway drug to the world of EVs and showed me that I can do most of my driving solely on battery so I didn't need to worry about range anxiety.
Look at a Chevy Volt. Small battery, great for daily drives and gas engine. Hyper reliable. 130k miles with nothing major to note. Cheap repairs because it shares 90% of parts with other models.
It wouldn't be a bad idea. But also you never know. My old car's battery lasted 8 years before I finally had to replace it. Sometimes things just chug along for a long time
The bolt (possibly the cheapest used EV available) batteries last well into the 200,000mi lifespan. My insurance lowered $80 when I bought my first EV. My state started charging an extra $150 to register an EV in 2019. About the same as the average ICE owner would pay in gas tax.
I drove a first gen Chevy Volt before I bought my 2022 MYP. I actually loved the Volt but it didn't have much range. The Chevy Volt had about 37 miles of range and my round trip to work and back was 34 miles. I drove that car on all electric 95% of the time.
What is the sound of one hand clapping? Does a bear sh1t in the woods? If the bear does, is the turd a uniform size and power that will work with attributes of all the other different sized bears out there?
Never left me stranded besides a dead battery.
Chevy Bolt. Then it was recalled for the battery fire issue.
