Battery YUASA or OEM Subaru
Second the Yuasa recommendation. Best battery I’ve had. Bought last one on Amazon. I like that the acid hasn’t been added yet so you know it’s fresh.
I fully trust Yuasa. They're just excellent quality.
Left one uncharged for a whole winter fired right up.
My 12v battery died last winter and I decided to replace it with a Yuasa Silver battery after hearing people having problems with their 12v battery. It has a 5 year guarantee which gives a bit of peace of mind.
Yuasa are always good, but I've been a big fan of "Big Crank" / [Batterymart.com](http://Batterymart.com) batteries on most of my bikes.
Yuasa is absolutely the way to go
For the new Niro EV get a 027 battery from a third party. I got a Yuasa 027 65Ah for £90 from Halfords UK.
I’m just pulling out a 4+ year old Yuasa that only started giving me problems about 2 months ago. Gonna try the $30 Mighty Max special this time since it seems to have some favorable reviews and we’ll see what happens. ????
It's a known issue that Subaru batteries fail much too early. Subaru began warranting great numbers of them a few years ago.... And they kept using "The same faulty batteries"!!! ...and they still are.
Could be worse ... I bought a new 24 OB and within 3 months, the battery was replaced. Love the car, but crap batteries
I had this happen in my 2020 outback around 37k miles. Dead battery was the culprit. Fortunately I shut off all my electronics and lights and it had just enough power to get it to restart. I got the battery replaced by Subaru under the extended 5 year warranty from a settlement for premature battery failure. It failed right after my 36k service at the dealer I think the car was about 4 years old at the time.
