Brake discs STOPTECH or Raybestos
All brake discs are now StopTech Black series one-piece, no detriment to performance vs the ATE stock two-piece, the upside is no going orange on the bells or edges like the stock discs do, pads are still PFC Z-Rated and fluid is ATE Type200, no obvious fade for fast road use.
For brake discs and pads Stoptech has worked well under both my Expedition and also another Ford vehicle.
Element3 rotors are A++
I have used StopTech a few times with no issues.
I've had great luck with Raybestos Element 3 rotors..
For rotors, you’re lighting money on fire if you get anything other than a set of non coated blanks. You aren’t going fast enough, or running long enough sessions to get them so hot that you need drilled and slotted in an attempt to drop every degree you can off the heat sinks, especially if you aren’t pushing for the full session. A quick browse on RockAuto shows that the cheapest drilled and slotted is just under x3 the price of a Raybestos blank. You can warp a set every weekend and still be way ahead (I promise you won’t warp a set every weekend unless you’re abusing the brakes).
I have the StopTech brand and have been perfect for me this season
Raysbestos Street Performance rotors are excellent. They are high-carbon and better able to manage heat and resist warping and cracking than ordinary grey iron rotors.
I used Raybestos rotors this last time, and they are OK, but they have a little vibration to them.
I have moved over to power stop as well. I've had problems with the Raybestos E3.
