Brake pads Akebono or OEM Chevrolet
I put Akebono ProAct pads & Raybestos Element 3 for rotors on my Honda. For quiet pads & rust protection. The quality to price point was my deciding factor.
If we're talking brake pads highly recommend aekobono brake pads just truly different very smooth no noise and will last easily 60,000 miles
toyota uses akebono as an oem manufacturer for most of their brake pads. i run akebonos on my car and they run amazing. akebonos are one of the best ceramic pads imo and they last a long time with no noise and barely any brake dust.
Akebono are the best brake pads, rotors you can get on eBay slotted and drilled for less $200 (front and rear)
I've always used Akebono pads for my E90 and F30. Some say they work as well as OEM but produce less brake dust. I've never had issues with them and happy with performance for daily use.
I run Akebono brake pads, they're great!
Akebono Ceramic Pads are the default OEM+ option.
Get the best ones out there which is OEM they gave my 15es250 the best miles before replacement which is 125k
You are saving some $$ doing a DIY job...so spend an extra bucks and get the OEM parts or better which would be akebono proact(brake pads around 100$) and advics high carbon rotors(220$) which again is the oem rotors your lexus had.
Changed my front pads on 2021 Silverado and had same issue. Dash lit up with warnings and checking engine light. Disconnected battery for 30 plus minutes, pressed brake pedal 2/3rd way down and held for 45 seconds and released slowly, waited 15 seconds and repeated. Did this process for the entire 30 minutes. Reconnected negative terminal on battery and that cleared all warnings except check engine light. Drove for short distance and engine light went off. Just can’t reset my brake pad wear setting, so thinking new sensor may be bad so I ordered a OEM replacement.
My 2025 RS AWD has been having squealing brakes since 1,000 miles at low speed. It has 3,500 on it now and it's annoying.
