toyota uses akebono as an oem manufacturer for most of their brake pads. i run akebonos on my car and they run amazing. akebonos are one of the best ceramic pads imo and they last a long time with no noise and barely any brake dust.

Pros: last a long time, no noise
Cons: barely any brake dust

I've always used Akebono pads for my E90 and F30. Some say they work as well as OEM but produce less brake dust. I've never had issues with them and happy with performance for daily use.

Pros: less brake dust, good performance

Akebono Brake pads

Get the best ones out there which is OEM they gave my 15es250 the best miles before replacement which is 125k

You are saving some $$ doing a DIY job...so spend an extra bucks and get the OEM parts or better which would be akebono proact(brake pads around 100$) and advics high carbon rotors(220$) which again is the oem rotors your lexus had.

Pros: long lasting, good quality
Vehicle: Lexus ES
Mileage: 125000 km

Akebono Brake pads

Akebono will make a slight noise when you shift from drive to reverse to drive and vice versa as they are a tad smaller than the OEM.

Cons: slight noise when shifting

Akebono Brake pads

Nope, they don’t fit whatsoever. Return them. The correct pads have 2 holes on the top corners, which are for the pad retaining pins unique to the 2IS rear calipers. The 3IS went back to the standard floating caliper design, for which these pads MIGHT fit. These pads you picked up are guaranteed to not fit your 2IS.

Cons: incorrect fitment
