Brake pads Akebono or Raybestos
I think akebono's are worth it for street/canyon although heavy so there are better options if your actually racing
akebono ACT pads. Street pads, low dust.
Love my Raybestos ST43 on my Corvette for the track with 200 series tires. They can be a bit annoying on the street.
akebono proact ceramics. very well priced off of rockauto. they're not super sporty or bite much but they have very little dust and a linear pedal feel. these are same ones i used on my 2021.
Raybestos Element 3 in the Forester (surprisingly good pads and cheap AF)
Swap out for ceramic pads (I've had good success with Akebono)
I like Akebono Ceramic pads with Zimmerman rotors on my E92, some feel that you lose a little bite but I like them and they pretty much eliminate brake dust.
Akebono are very good brake pads.
On the factory pads you'll see around 55-60k on the original Akebonos.
Also ordered Raybestos pads and rotors.
3) Lastly, the brake pads' bodies are the right dimensions to fit the caliper brackets, but why would the friction-material footprint be so much smaller?! I can only think of negatives with using these.
