For normal driving I'd recommend either ATE Ceramic pads, paired with ATE, painted or coated discs.
Get Ate ceramic. never (almost never) have to wash your wheels again
Brakes and hoses ATE.
I also suggest you to buy ATE or TRW pads, because cheap stuff might squeak.
If you’ve still got UFO fronts the part number for pads is ATE 602847 (13.0460-2847.2)
If I remember correctly, you could also use brake pads from a VW delivery van, which was slightly larger than the VW bus. All you had to do was go to ATE etc. with the right number and you would get the right pads. When you asked for some for the Porsche 944, they said they didn't have any. The ones for VW only cost half as much.
Mein Mechaniker meinte zu mir beim letzten Wechsel letztes Jahr ich soll mir keine brembi kaufen. Hab dann auf die ate für meinen Golf 7 gegriffen. Hab zwar noch keine Meinung zur Langlebigkeit aber bisher bin ich zufrieden. Keine unwucht keine Geräusche und bremsen gut.
Meiner Erfahrung nach bremst das genauso gut wie andere Bremsen, das Problem ist nach 10tkm sportlicher Fahrweise sind Bel\u00e4ge und Scheiben leer, normale Fahrweise max 20tkm. Felgen Kohlschwarz weil nat\u00fcrlich mega viel Bremsstaub in kurzer Zeit.
We use ATE here in Germany. Rear brake pads will probably require a diagnostic device to disengage the electrical parking brake.
DBA pads love to squeal too.
