On the GD’s I’m partial to the classic red but other than that my preference is my black GR brakes. Understated and don’t clash with anything.
Most you can do is Brembo X-tra pads or equivalent.
Came across a set of bmw brembo brakes at an auto wrecker. Bought for $50, sold for $950.
Just did my C300 rear rotors and pads. And front pads. All Bremro. In my case (cdn) the best price was Amazon. Pretty straight forward.

I’ve got brembo pads and discs and they’re fine but the pads are very dusty
those bremboo that come from Asia are no good at performance braking
The stock brake pads leave much to be desired.
