Brake pads Brembo or STOPTECH
Stoptech brake test mounted to the spindles. I buffed off the Stoptech logo with buffing compound. I prefer the understated look.
I've got factory Brembo's on my 2014 Jeep GC SRT...it took some getting used to when driving as the brakes are very responsive!
Actually just installed a set in my MK6 GLI and they are a whole lot better than the OEM branded pads.
There is a noticeable difference between OEM pads and these along with high temp brake fluid when doing 20 min sessions at Portland International Raceway... less fade and shorter stopping distance. Also the pads are still quiet and about same brake dust as OEM.
I went with the Powerstop slotted/cross drilled rotors, and Stoptech Sport pads on my Impreza, and they're awesome. The Stoptechs are Semi-metallics and initial bite is really good compared to the ceramics I previously had.
Around $2200 for a full brake job on my Jeep SRT's Brembo brakes! Stops on a friggin' dime too!
I have a full Stoptech setup (4 slotted rotors and street pads) on my MK6 GTI right now, and I like how it feels and performs. I used to have just Stoptech rear pads on OEM rotors, and it seemed to perform just fine as well. The downside (in my experience) with the street pads is that they dust a LOT, especially the rears.
I had StopTec Posi Quiet pads installed on my '17 R. They have very little brake dust and are much more linear feeling than the stock pads. I can highly recommend them for street use.
I suggest you read reviews of a guy that went with TT RS brakes on his car. It's got what IMO are some bad side effects... I think they're complete over kill for our car.
I put stoptech pads on my 2011 hatch and they have been so beyond noisey they have been driving me insane. Gotta find something else to replace them with. Hope your experience is better!
