Brake pads Carbotech or Bendix
I've used Bendix for decades now. I think they're a very underrated brand. I've never had any troubles out of them. I was a mechanic for almost 25 years. I've used just about every pad out there. For my personal stuff, I look for Bendix. The reasonable price and excellent quality is what I've always appreciated.
Bendix Ceramic. $20. OG rotors at 140k, they've been turned once and are within spec. Next time I'll grab the DD Centric rotor/pad combo off RockAuto for $55.
I'm still using the factory rotors as they calipered just fine within spec at 132k. I just put on some standard Bendix ceramic for under $20. Didn't even turn my rotors because they were smooth as glass as I live in the south. Made sure to service the slide pins of course. As far as durability, you just can't beat the factory rotors so if they are still within spec, I see no reason to replace.
Basically they feel factory new with a nice progressive pedal dynamic.
I’ve used carbotech XP10 for years because it’s the only pad that has never had any of these kinds of problems. Also also swapped between 1521 and XP10 seamlessly. The only time I had a problem like this was when I used some very cheap rotors that couldn’t handle the track abuse, you could actually see the rotor surface getting pitted. Yours look fine by comparison.
For my GR86 Carbotech XP10s have been amazing on the track, seriously no complaints at all. The XP10s with Castrol SRF have been a great combo and held up really well even on some really big/high speed tracks. I swap in my OEM pads when I’m not tracking the car for awhile. It’s not great because I have to bed the pads every time I change them. Once I’m through the OEM pads I’m going to get the Carbotech 1521’s for the street, that way like you mentioned I think I can avoid having to avoid bedding my brakes with every change. The XP10’s function well on the street but they feel a little rough if not up to temp and they are insanely loud.
I personally use Carbotech XP10 for track and Stoptech Sport pads for street on the same rotors
I got Bendix rotors and Bendix ceramic pads from rock auto reasonably priced. Works very well
I use carbotech xp8s. Dtc 60 or 70s would also be a good choice. Be warned through track pads driven on the street will accelerate rotor wear. I hated the Ferodo ds2500s when cold.
During braking po maingay like sumisipol pero minsan naman hindi lalo na kapag maulan pero depende padin. Had my breaks cleaned, from pads to cleaning talaga like baklas. Ang gamit ko po is bendix na brake pads, makapal pa po pads.
Driving a Saga MT 2024. Switched from the stock brakepads to Bendix Metal King's. Drove up and down Genting roads quite often, but damn, the braking grips are not what was advertised, and made worse during rainy days. Luckily I drove a manual transmission saga, so I could balanced out braking hard with employing low gear, to cater to a proper sudden stop, especially going downhill, with all the speed bumps up there. And the brake dust? Lord! It's like I painted my wheels with paint, each time I got home.
