Brake pads EBC or Akebono
Update: Replaced all the brake pads with Akebono Euro Ceramic pads last week and have been squeak free since. Let's hope it stays this way. Besides being quiet, they give off low brake dust, have a nice brake feel and were reasonably priced ($130 after tax and shipping off Amazon).
Replaced the rear Brake Pads and Rotors on my 2005 V8 this morning. Turned out to be a pretty easy, straight forward job. 30-45 min. per side.

I have had EBC brakes for two years now with zero problems other than the ticking sound from the air hitting the dimples.
I currently have EBC Yellowstuff in the front and EBC Redstuff in the rear, so I should have a little more front bias.
About a year ago I replaced my stock (inexpensive) rotors and pads with ATE rotors and EBC greenstuff pads. They seemed like a great combo, they reduced my stopping distance by quite a bit.
I've had good experiences with Akebono Ceramic pads as well but they are on the expensive side!
New brake pads and rotors (EBC Greenstuff + DBA drilled/slotted rotors) All suspension components in good shape
Like the Akebono's better than the Hawks, but the smell is almost clutch like which can be disconcerning at times. Hawks stink when cooked, but not like the Akebono's.
the green stuff were on my m3 when i got it.. not a fan. dusty, noisy, and fade. they suck IMO
