Brake pads Mintex or DIXCEL
For brakes, you're limited to whatever you can fit with your wheels.. I doubt you'd fit Brembo's with them, so you may be limited to 4pot/2pot or just rebuilding your current calipers with good street pads and rotors.
On my WRX, I use Dixcel ES pads front and rear
Upgraded rotors (paragon 2 piece) and dixcel type z pads.
Dixcel m pads good stopping and ultra low dust.
Just get standard oem supplier pads from someone like Mintex. They’re going to be everything you need for a daily driver.
Stock calipers with Dixcel SD slotted rotors and Dixcel ES pads.
As stated, installed new Mintex front pads and I believe I installed correctly. rattle only occurs when not braking, when brakes applied immediately disappears.
While I am not overly impressed with the stopping power for the price, I am impressed with how much less they wear after a track day.
I have some noise from the mintex pads as well. Im switching them all out soon.
You wanna avoid mintex red box these days. The passat pads have a slight problem with burning up under hard braking.
Not to sound mean, but Mintex redbox are terrible pads.
